I consider myself an optimist,
See the best in any circumstance.
The sun is bright, the grass is green
But I'm still missing half my glass.
I guess I'm just part of a generation never to be seen
Always stuck, hiding behind a TV screen
But this song's a lot more than an addiction to technology
It's a metaphor for our addiction to hiding our imperfection.
So quick to judge even when you're overseas
Pointing at the one to blame, your remote control is in the wrong direction.

I can't say that lies don't hurt

Putting my mind on paper, sort of a plan to make an honest
Impression through my expression, one year later hoping the paper is my profession and I can see beyond viewer discretion
Viewer discretion is advised sometimes
Especially if you insist on having an open mind to creative lies
Like I'd been looking at the world through an anaglyph
Putting two and two together 'stedda seeing what it really is.
